Brunch experiences
above the city

CITADELLA CAFÉ

The Citadella Café, located at the highest point of Gellért Hill, right next to the fortress walls, welcomes those who wish to enjoy Budapest’s most beautiful panorama in a relaxed yet stylish bar atmosphere. The spacious, sunlit terrace is the perfect place to unwind, with a focus on quality sparkling wines, a curated selection of the best Hungarian wine regions, and a premium drink offering. Whether it’s a chilled Budapest Sparkling Wine, an elegant Sauska sparkling wine, or the house signature cocktail, the Liberty Spritz, the experience above the city becomes truly complete.

The gastronomic experience is elevated by the café’s All Day Brunch concept, with comfortable terrace seating also available. The menu is defined by artisan sandwiches made from SALT Bakery recipes, using traditional sourdough bread. Try the crispy bacon Citadella Croque, the Mediterranean tuna cream specialty, or the fresh vegan option. Alongside a light breakfast or lunch, you can also choose from crispy sausages, warm grilled paninis, or the café’s signature desserts, such as the “Ágyúgolyó” or the “Szabadság” slice. The Citadella Café is where café elegance and a vibrant terrace atmosphere meet high above the city.
